Lightning

Coaches at each location will monitor thunderstorms using the WeatherBug app. This app monitors minute-by-minute, lightning strikes in any location around the world. Based on the GPS location of the phone, if a lightning strike is within a 6 or 8 mile radius (rules vary by school district or parks dept.), coaches will move kids to safety. ​Little Legends will keep playing through light rain and wind if there is no danger from lightning.

Rain

Tennis courts and blacktops become slippery when wet. We will halt practice if surfaces become unsafe.

Class cancelations

As we all know, weather changes quickly in Colorado and varies by just a few miles especially with thunderstorms. If we cancel a class, we will send an email to parents as soon as we make that decision. We understand last-minute cancellations might cause delays in pickup.

If you don't hear from us, class is ON! Please assume we are playing unless notified otherwise.

Make up classes

Unfortunately, our contracts for using school property are for specific dates and times. We cannot schedule make-up classes for cancellations.

Mid-Class Lightning or rain

If a class is cancelled due to weather after it has already started:

• Before 30 minutes: We will make up the remaining time.

• After 30 minutes: The class is considered "complete."
